The Youth Red Cross in collaboration with Womens Cell organized a session on Breast Cancer and HPV vaccination by Dr Lynsel Hilda Texeira , Obsteritrician gynaecologist , KMC , Mangaluru on 19 October 2024 in Conference hall , Sophia block ,St Agnes College ( autonomous ) , Mangaluru.
Dr Lynsel enlightened the gathering on care of women’s health, types of cancer, early diagnosis of breast cancer, self-examination, surgical aspects and treatment. She also highlighted the importance of Human Papilloma Viruses and Vaccination. This was followed by a question and answer session.
Youth Red Cross has also organized weekly activities for students on ice breaking sessions, learning the YRC prayer song and welcome clap, preparation of various model related to cancer awareness, HIV, first aid, blood donation and wealth out of waste
