CQMS Saaniya Khan and Cdt Cpl Niveditha were the trainers of Yoga during the programme. During the training children were taught different Asanas starting with warming up and stretching, followed by Padmasana, Sukhasana, Tadasana, Bhujangaasana and ending with Shavasana. They also specially trained the children on Soorya Namaskar. Yoga can assist them in developing sound ways to strengthen themselves and contribute in becoming a healthy and happy human being. Trainers also emphasized on the importance of Yoga for children. Three days of training programme concluded with the yoga competition for children on the last day of training. The training on Yoga was refreshing, reviving and relaxing to the children. The Headmistress and staff of the Primary school appreciated the St Agnes College cadets as well as their ANO’s of Army and Airwing Lt Gayathri BK, Flg Offr. Dr Hithakshi B for taking the initiative and training the children.
Yoga for children can help encounter the stress experienced by little ones living in a busy world. Meditation is a relaxation that rejuvenates the body and mind. With this aim in mind, a training programme was organised by National Cadet Corps of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru to the students of St Agnes Kannada Higher Primary School, Mangaluru on 17, 18 and 20 June 2022.
