The Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organised, a workshop on ‘Technical Analysis’ on 28 July 2023. Mr. Steevan Robert Tellis, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, Srinivas Institute of Technology and BSE Trainer was the resource speaker for the workshop. The beneficiaries of the session were Final Year Post Graduate Commerce students and faculty.
The session started by seeking God’s blessings by Mr. Fredvin Joyston Crasta and Ms. Merin V. M. Ms. Tapasya Thilak, Final year, welcomed and introduced the speaker. Ms. Samruddhi B K compered the session.
Dr Dolan Champa Banerjee, Head of Post Graduate Department of Commerce, organised the workshop to make students comprehend the rationale behind technical analysis as share prices reiterate over period and forecasters attempt various methods to foresee these recurrences.
The speaker focused on Japanese Candlestick Charts and elaborated the importance of opening price, closing price, highest and lowest prices and also showed live change in the candlestick each 5 minutes through Bank Nifty which comprises top 12 banking and financial stocks.
