With a vision of providing students with skill training in the domain of mental health, this session intended to provide hands on training on using the techniques of solution focused counseling. Solution focused brief therapy is a strength based approach to psychotherapy based on solution building rather than problem solving. SFBT focuses one’s current circumstances and future hopes. This approach also assumes that people are meaning makers and are ultimately the creators of their own realities.
