The PG Department of Chemistry, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organised a Workshop on Cosmetic Chemistry on 21 March 2024 at 9 a.m. The workshop on eco-friendly cosmetic chemistry aimed to explore sustainable practices and innovative solutions in the development of cosmetic products.
Dr Geetha Pinto, Associate Professor, PG Department of Chemistry was the resource person. The workshop was open to all the students of the Post Graduate Departments.The preparation of a number of Soaps and Lip balms from natural products was taught and presented to the students.
The workshop on eco-friendly cosmetic chemistry was a groundbreaking event, highlighting the shift towards sustainability.
Aura – where organic meets aesthetic is an initiative of the PG Department of Chemistry where the staff and students prepare eco friendly cosmetics from natural sources.
