On 29th March 2025, the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication organized a technical workshop on Autodesk Maya for the final-year journalism students. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Sagar Shetty, Assistant Professor at Yenepoya University, Mangalore.
The session began with an introduction to Autodesk Maya, covering its applications in animation, 3D modelling, and visual effects. Mr. Shetty then led a practical hands-on session, where students learned to use the software for basic tasks like animating a ball bouncing. He guided the students through the use of key frames, motion paths, and timing, providing valuable insights into the animation process.
