The UG Department of Commerce, St Agnes College (College) in association with BSE organized a webinar on Investment Awareness for the final year B.Com students on 13 August, 2024. Ms. Marina Jose Kanjikal, BSE IPF was the resource person.
The webinar highlighted the importance of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in overseeing the Indian securities market. Ms. Merina emphasized SEBI’s role in maintaining a fair and efficient market and encouraged investors to report any trading-related concerns directly to SEBI.
She discussed the various types of securities issues and the distinctions between primary and secondary markets. She provided an overview of the Indian securities market, covering its structure, functions, and significance. The webinar was specifically designed by the Bombay Stock Exchange Investor Protection Fund (BSE IPF) to educate students about investment.
