The Post Graduate Department of Chemistry of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized a competition on ‘Vegetable Printing’. This session was conducted on 25-09-2023 at 3PM.

Vegetable printing competition was a creative and educational event organized by the Post Graduate Department Of Chemistry and the Chemaura Association with the aim of raising awareness about environmental issues, specifically focusing on the depletion of ozone layer. The event encouraged participants to express their concerns and ideas through vegetable printing in a sustainable and eco-friendly art form.

The theme of the competition was ‘Heal the Ozone’ and the participants were required to do the creative art work that conveyed the importance of protecting the ozone layer and reducing its depletion. The competition was open to all departments of UG and PG students. The participants were provided with white cloth. Each team comprised of 2 participants and the time duration of 45 minutes. The participants used variety of vegetables, eco-friendly colors and exceptional artwork.

All together it was an wonderful platform that depicted the healing of ozone layer, messages of environmental protection, and images of endangered species that affected by ozone depletion. The competition provided platform for participants to learn and educate others about importance of ozone layer that shielded us from harmful ultraviolet radiation.

This event highlighted the importance of collective efforts in healing our planet and preserving the ozone layer for future generations. The main intention was to generate interest in the minds of youngsters about the urgent need for protecting the depletion of ozone layer.
