On 19 February 2019, a total of 30 students of history from St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru participated in a Training Programme at Karnataka Theological College, Balmatta, Mangalore on ‘Preservation of Archival Records and Manuscripts’.
The Basel Mission started its ministry in Mangalore on October 30, 1834 and later extended its services to other parts of the State. The first printing press was established in 1841 at Balmatta, Mangalore.
