On 14th January 2020, Nehru Youth Centre, Mangaluru and National Service Scheme of Mangalore University, Indian Scouts and Guides District Agency, District Youth People’s union, Dakshina Kannada District , organized 157th birthday celebration of Swami Vivekananda at Town Hall, Mangalore. 25 NSS Volunteers from St. Agnes college Mangalore participated in this programme. The programme began at 9.30 am. Dr. Vivek Alva , Suresh Rai and Dinakar Shetty were the Chief Guests for the programme. The guests’ addressed the gathering and motivated the students to take inspiration from the life of Swami Vivekananda and follow their dreams and work hard in life to achieve their goals . Laptops were distributed to some selected government colleges students during the programme. The programme ended at 1.00 pm.
