Menstrual hygiene is one among the major concerns of this era. Providing awareness about the same has become crucial.Keeping this thought in mind the government of Karnataka initiated the Swachch Gelathi Programme for the high school girl students on 4th August,2018.32 NSS volunteers of St. Agnes College,who were allotted 14 different schools to talk about what is Menstruation along with personal and menstrual hygiene visited these schools.
The NSS volunteers explained to them about the different physical and mental changes they undergo during periods and different ways to handle mood swings,pain etc . The students responded positively.
