The inauguration of the Student Cabinet for the year 2024-2025 of St Agnes College (Autonomous) was held at Mother Aloysia Centenary Auditorium on 27 July 2024 with enthusiasm and excitement.
The programme began by invoking God’s choicest blessings through a prayer led by college choir. To symbolize the essence of warmth our talented students Kavya and group performed a delightful welcome dance.
Inaugurating the student cabinet the chief guest Mr. Anil John Sequeira, the youngest male to clear Karnataka civil judge examinations said, “Dedication and commitment along with grit and sacrifice are essential to accomplish our goal.” He stressed on an acronym that every individual needs to follow which is ‘DREAM’ consisting of Daring and Dedication, Right decision at the right time, Efforts, Aim and Motivation which will lead to success. The college also felicitated Mr. Anil for his remarkable achievement.
Dr Sapna Kumari M, HOD & Assistant Professor, Department of MSc Chemistry & convenor of the programme, and Mrs. Panchajanyeswari M Achar, HOD & Assistant Professor, Department of MCA & co-convenor of the programme facilitated the ceremonial introduction of the Student cabinet members.
Thirty-four students from the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes were sworn in as the student cabinet members for the year 2024-25 by Sr Dr M Venissa AC, Principal of the college. The new council is headed by the PG student president, Mr. Prathik B Rai and UG student president, Ms. Privy D’Souza. With the theme ‘BE THE FLAME’, the student leaders promised to turn their vision into mission during the academic year 2024-25.

Sr Roopa A.C., the Vice Principal, Sr Carmel Rita A.C., the Administrator, Sr Dr Vinora A.C., the PG Co-ordinator, Dr Nancy H Vaz, Controller of Examinations, Dr Ita Dsouza, the IQAC Coordinator, Mrs Malavika Shetty, HOD, Department of Computer Applications & the staff coordinator of the student cabinet, PTA members, parents, Deans and faculty members graced this occasion with their presence.
Mrs Hannabel Alva, HOD & Assistant Professor, Department of M. Sc. Big Data Analytics welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. Sr Gloria D Souza A.C., Assistant Professor; Department of M. Sc. Chemistry compered the programme. Mrs Akshatha Shetty, Assistant Professor, Department of MCA proposed the vote of thanks and the program concluded with our College Anthem.
