Central to the event was the distribution of 103 saplings, symbolizing the institution’s dedication to the Save Earth Project. Each sapling represented a commitment to a greener planet, highlighting collective responsibility and positive change.
St Agnes College’s community-driven initiative, “Agnes Towards Community,” orchestrated a one-day visit to the adopted villages of Amblamogaru, Munnur, Kuthar, Kotekar and Harekala on 5 August 2023. As an integral part of this endeavour, 153 students embarked on a journey to foster community engagement and environmental stewardship. Under the guidance of faculty members, the students planted saplings in designated locations. The students joined hands with residents of the villages and educators to plant saplings across the village premises. This collective effort underscored the commitment to sustainable practices and community involvement.
The Principal, Sr Dr Venissa A.C. and ATC Coordinator Dr Shailaja H.G. provided unwavering support, increasing the initiative’s impact and solidifying the institution’s commitment to holistic education. As St Agnes College marks its 103rd year, this endeavour serves as a reminder of the institution’s enduring legacy and the shared responsibility to nurture and safeguard our environment.
