The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangalore, celebrated Swachh Bharath Diwas, “Swacchatha Hi Seva,” #SBD2024, “Swacchatha Hi Seva” #SHS2024 in honour of Gandhi Jayanthi.

On 21 September, 2024, 19 NCC cadets collaborated with the Indian Coast Guard for a beach cleaning event at Panambur Beach, Surathkal. This initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation and community service, emphasizing teamwork and social responsibility.

In a display of creativity, the NCC cadets organized a model exhibition on 26 September 2024, to mark Swachhta Diwas. They showcased eight intricate models including Aerodrome Instruments, Red Fort, Solar System, and many more highlighting their skills and innovation using accessible and economical materials.

Expanding their knowledge, Capt. Gayathri BK and Flying Officer Hithakshi Anand conducted an informative session on Government of India schemes on 28 September 2024. The session covered important initiatives such as PM Ujwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat and others, empowering cadets with valuable information.

Through these events, the NCC unit of St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangalore, reinforced their commitment to serving the community, preserving the environment, and pursuing academic excellence.
