Dr R. Nagesh, Dean of Arts welcomed the resource person Dr Swapna Hegde, Export control research analyst, Rice University Houston, Texas, United States of America.
The resource person Dr Swapna Hegde, took over the session and enlightened the humanities students about fundamentals and foundations. She shared her experience in banking and encouraged students to attend various certificate courses and grab the opportunities in life.
The main objective of the session was to guide and motivate students on job options after completing their degree. She guided the students to always be confident and realise the importance of accepting and loving yourself. She spoke about the importance of punctuality and urged to never give up even when life throws difficult situations.
She enlightened the audience by describing her journey which emphasised the point that studying never ends and one must always be eager to learn and study.
She then cleared students’ queries and explained about persevering inspite of trying situations. She shed light on one of the important aspects of life i.e. failure and reminded them to never be afraid of failure.
Olivia Coelho concluded the session by rendering the Vote of thanks. Dr Manjushree S., Head of the Department of Economics ended the session by presenting a token of gratitude to Dr Swapna Hegde.
