In an effort to promote holistic well-being among its students, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru through its NSS and Sports Association, organized a session titled “Yoga for Health” on 6 July 2024. The session, aimed at imparting valuable knowledge and practical experience in yoga, was led by Mr. Kushalappa Gowda, a renowned Yoga Therapist.

The event commenced with a prayer led by NSS volunteers, setting a reflective and conducive atmosphere for learning. Mr. Kushalappa Gowda began his session by explaining the multifaceted benefits of incorporating yoga into daily life. He highlighted that yoga extends beyond physical exercise, contributing to mental clarity, emotional balance, and spiritual development. During the session, he also demonstrated various Aasanas for students to practice regularly.

As the session drew to a close, Mr. Kushalappa emphasized the importance of prioritizing self- care and mindfulness by integrating yoga into daily routines.

The session was attended by enthusiastic undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students eager to learn about yoga. The presence of Dr. Uday Kumar B, Mrs. Preetha Tauro (NSS Program Officers), Mrs. Vasudha (Physical Culture Instructor), Mrs. K.M. Chethana, and Mr. Dilsun (Assistant NSS Officers) further reinforced the session’s motive and importance.
