Ms Nakibathul Vaibha a first year M.Sc. Chemistry student compered the programme. Ms Punya and her team led the prayer. Ms Nakibathul Vaibha welcomed everyone. Dr. Geetha Nazareth, Associate Professor of Chemistry, presented the speaker with a potted plant as a gesture of gratitude. Dr. Sapna Kumari M, Head of the Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, and Dr. Likhitha U, programme convener, were also present. Later, the stage was handed over to the day’s speaker, Dr. Padmalatha Rao. She encouraged students to think broadly about various aspects of quantum chemistry, introduced famous scientists, and then described the origins and development of quantum chemistry. She has introduced a new method for learning equations in an easy way, as well as applications of quantum chemistry with examples.
