The Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, Centre for Postgraduate and Research, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized a seminar on “Organics for Flexitronics”, on 5 September 2023. The resource person was Dr N Somanathan, Retired Deputy director and Head of Polymer Science and Technology CLRI-Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai. The session was attended by the undergradute students, faculty members along with the postgraduate students of Chemistry. Sr Tomsy compered the seminar and the session began by a prayer song from Ms. Chaithralaksmi along with her classmates. Dr Sapna Kumari, the Head of the PG Department of Chemistry welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person to the audience. Dr N Somanathan introduced the application of organic chemistry intoelectronics and its other numerous applications in polymer science. The audience had a short interaction time with the resource person after the presentation. The session concluded by a vote of thanks from Ms. Jeena Thomas, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry followed by the college anthem.
