The Department of Microbiology,St Agnes College(Atonomous) organized a seminar on the topic “Microbiology & Ayurveda” on September 4, 2019 for the Microbiology students of I, II and III degree class.
The resource person was Dr Shobharani N.S, incharge medical officer for integrated Ayush hospital at Wenlock and medical officer for govt homeopathy dispensary Gurupura.
She addressed the students on various aspects of Ayurvedic science in relation to Microbiology, types of microorganisms and the diseases caused, diagnostic procedures adopted for various infectious diseases and different ways of treatment with regard to Ayurveda and Allopathy. She also enlightened the students on the importance of a well balanced diet, rehydration therapy, care of the skin and personal hygiene.
