The PG Department of Business Administration (MBA) and the Management Club organized the “Splash of Colours” event for the undergraduate and postgraduate students of St Agnes College (Autonomous) on August 5th, 2024. The event took place at the Seminar Hall, Centenary Block, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru.
The event is scheduled for a single day includes four distinct activities:
- A3 Anime Art Attack (T-Shirt Painting)
- Chitramandala(Mandala Art)
- Ratna Anveshan(Treasure Hunt)
- Pitch Palette(Shooter and Seller)
1. Anime Art Attack: The event was held in the Centenary Block, Room LH-01. Coordinated by Jansil Martina Saldanha from II MBA and Vanshitha from I MBA, the competition saw 13 teams of two participants each. The event duration was one hour, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Participants were provided with T-shirts, while all other necessary materials were to be brought by them. The use of pre-made designs, stencils, or electronic gadgets for reference was strictly prohibited. Judging criteria included artistic skill, creativity, and originality. The event concluded punctually at 3:30 pm.

2. Chitramandala (Mandala Art): The event took place in Centenary Block,Room LH-08, coordinated by Fencita Josna Goveas from II MBA and Raksha Rajesh Suvarna from I MBA, with 28 participants. The allotted time for the competition was one hour, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Participants were responsible for bringing their own art supplies and were required to clean their work areas upon completion. The use of pre-prepared designs or electronic gadgets for reference was strictly prohibited. Entries were judged on design, symmetry, and complexity.

3. Ratna Anveshan (Treasure Hunt): The Ratna Anveshan event commenced at 1:35 pm, coordinated by Shamith Shetty of II MBA and Kavyashree of I MBA. A total of five teams participated, with each team comprising four members. The use of electronic gadgets was prohibited. The treasure hunt included five clues, each leading to the next, and teams were required to follow them in sequence. Skipping a clue resulted in disqualification, and off-limit areas were strictly prohibited for clue searching. Participants were also instructed not to tamper with any other team’s clues if found. The event, which took place throughout the campus, concluded at 3:00 pm.
4. Pitch Palette (Shooter and Seller): The Pitch Pallet event was coordinated by Mohammed Gulam Mustafa of II MBA and Roncita Anisha Dsouza of I MBA. A total of nine teams participated in the event, with the product focus being Pampers, priced at a minimum of Rs 50. The event consisted of a single round where participants were permitted to use their own gadgets, such as cameras and smartphones; however, online selling was strictly prohibited. The promotional video was required to be one minute long, and the use of fake voice memos was not allowed. Both the shooter and seller aspects of the event were to be completed within the one-hour time limit. The event concluded at 2:30 pm.

The valedictory program commenced at 3:30 pm, beginning with a prayer song led by Fabiann and team, invoking God’s blessings for the success of the event. The ceremony was graced by several esteemed guests, including Sr Dr M. Vinora A.C, PG Coordinator; Prof Gerard, Mentor for MBA; Mrs. Sheryl Preethika, HOD; Ms. Arlene Fernandes, Staff Coordinator; Mr. Chaco P.J., Assistant Professor; and Vinston Joy Menezes, Vice-President, Student Council. Reema from I MBA extended a warm welcome to all attendees.
The event progressed with the prize distribution, where Vinston announced the winners. The runners-up for Anime Art Attack were Team Lunar (Mahima and Paloma), and the winners were Team Agastya (Viyola Fernandes and Abhilash). In Chitramandala (Mandala Art), Team Spinner (Krithi Ramesh Kotian) was the runners-up, and Team Innovator (Deepashree) emerged as the winners. The Pitch Palette (Shooter and Seller) runner-up team consisted of Vasista Rai and Smrithi Shetty, while Tripthi and Devisha were the winners. The winners of Ratna Anveshan (Treasure Hunt) were Leston and his team from I BCom (ACCA).
The “Splash of Colours” event concluded on a high note, with Ayishath Shifa of I MBA delivering the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, participants, and organizers for their invaluable contributions to the event’s success.
