The Department of Commerce had organized an orientation program for the III B.Com students on 23rd July 2024 at 2.00 pm which was executed by the staff coordinators Mrs Nimitha K and Mrs Jeslin D’cunha along with the student coordinator Ms. Sheryl Sequiera. The resource person for this orientation was Mrs Fiona Tauro, an Alumna of St. Agnes College. She is currently teaching Accounts and Business at Al Diyafah School, Dubai.
The orientation started with a prayer, to invoke God’s blessings. Ms.Mufrin from III B.Com regular welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. Mrs. Fiona, an alumna, had motivated and inspired the students to think about their careers and educated them about the different ways to excel in whatever field they choose whether it is within the country or abroad.
Mrs.Vineetha, HOD of Commerce, also addressed the students on the different programs and opportunities offered by the college in which they can participate to improve their skills. She informed about the rules and regulations that are expected to be followed in the academic year 2024-25. The program concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Deepti from III B.Com CMA.
