St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru on 20 December 2018 organized Navidad, a charity show on the College grounds to provide shelter to the homeless.
The chief guest for the function was Blossom Rego, vice president PTA, St Agnes College. In her message she spoke on forgiveness and love which define Christmas. She emphasized that the youth was her strength and that she liked to work among them.
Renita D Souza from I year BCom was the beneficiary of the amount.
The programme consisted of a meaningful tableau which depicted the birth of Jesus through acting, singing and dance sequences. A skit was enacted that highlighted the meaning of Christmas. The programme ended with a Christmas dance with Santa Claus distributing sweets to the audience.
Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC, superior and joint secretary of the institutions; Sr Dr M Jeswina AC, principal; Sr Dr Venissa AC, vice-principal, faculty members and students were present at the Christmas programme.
Emima David from the department of Zoology welcomed the gathering and Helen Serrao proposed the vote of thanks. Marina Lobo from the department of Physics was the convener of the programme.
