On the occasion of National Wildlife Week observation from 2 October to 8 October 2022, Nature Club of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru conducted various activities for the members to develop a sense of love and positive attitude towards the wildlife conservation.

On 2 October, ‘We speak organic’ – compost making activity using kitchen waste and other organic waste at home, was conducted. 5 members participated in compost making activity.

On 3 October, ‘Each one plant one’ – Planting the sapling at home was conducted. 7 members planted the saplings in their houses.

On 4 October, ‘Reduce Reuse Recycle’ – Waste management activity at home was conducted. Members segregated the wastes produced at home into different bins based on their types. 4 members participated in this activity.

On 5 October, ‘Make a Bird feeder’ – bird feeder to keep water and grain for the bird was designed at home. 9 members participated in this activity.

On 6 October, a session on ‘Wildlife Conservation- Need of the Hour’ was delivered by Mr Kiran Vati, Lecturer, St Aloysius College, Autonomous, Mangalore. 50 Nature Club members and 76 Zoology Students attended the session.

On 7 October, Face painting competition, on the theme Wildlife was conducted for the nature Club members and Zoology Students. 8 teams participated in the competition. First place was won by Jolyn & Raaniya II BSc, Second place by Ayisha & Shaima II Bcom and Third place by Thanisha & Rumana II BBA.

On 8 October, Campus Cleanliness Drive was organized. Members were divided into 5 different groups to pick all the solid waste from the campus and spread the awareness of plastic free campus.

On 8 October National Wildlife week observation was concluded with the Field Visit to Biological Park, Pilikula, Vamajuru. 18 Nature club members and 50 Zoology students were accompanied by the staff Mrs Ameetha K., Ms Vivid Dsouza and Ms Vishma Dcunha.
