The Department of Commerce, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organised an Investors Awareness Programme in association with Mangalore University Commerce Teachers Association (MUCTA) on 26 September 2022. 

CA Daphne Dsouza Chartered Accountant Mangaluru was the Chief Guest and Mr Louis Manoj Ambrose, General Secretary of Mangalore University Commerce Teachers Association was the Guest of Honour. 

Mrs Sheryl Preethika, Head of the Department of Commerce, Mrs Nimitha K, Dean of Commerce and Business Administration were present on the dais. 

185 students were present for the workshop and the workshop had 3 sessions.

Mr Naveen Julian Rego CFP, SEBI Registered Investment Adviser was the speaker for the first session. Session was on financial literacy and importance of savings. He also spoke about money management and illustrated cyber fraud through series of videos.

Mr Leo Amal, Branch Manager, Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Pvt, Ltd was the speaker for the second session. He started the session by speaking on The Myths of Investments, Time Value of Money and Compound Interest. 

Mr Yonil Dsouza Investment Consultant Mangalore spoke on the topic money management. Main objective was the session was to build investment awareness and to give the students information on how and where they can invest their savings.
