PERSONA 2025, an Intercollegiate Workshop on Personality Development was organised at St Agnes College (Autonomous) on 18 March 2025. The dignitaries, including the chief guest CS Apekshaa Prabhu, Principal Sr Dr M Venissa A.C., Head of the Department of Commerce Mrs Vineetha N.T, Dean – Commerce and Management Mrs Nimitha K, staff Co-ordinator of PERSONA Mrs Pooja Shetty, and Student Co-ordinator Ms Sheryl Sequeira, participated in the lighting of the lamp ceremony.

The first session titled “Sharpen your Social Savvy” was conducted by Mrs Soujanya Hegde. Ms Derisha from III BCom ACCA welcomed the gathering where Mrs Nimitha.K presented a sapling to Mrs Soujanya. This session emphasised on the tips to improvise skills that were required to be present in any social gathering, she gave an insight to students on how they were expected to behave and dress in the corporate. Ms Sheryl from III BCom ACCA had delivered the vote of thanks where Mrs Pooja Shetty had presented a token of gratitude to Mrs Soujanya Hegde.

The second session titled “Unlocking Leadership Potential” was conducted by Dr Malini Hebbar. Ms Malavika from III BCom ACCA welcomed the gathering where Mrs Vineetha N.T presented a sapling to Dr Malini. This session underscored the importance of volunteering as a leader, being inquisitive, observant and unique. She also conducted various activities that helped students understand these qualities practically. Ms Slavia from III BCom CMA had delivered the vote of thanks where Mrs Nimitha.K had presented a token of gratitude to Dr Malini Hebbar.

The third session titled “Public Speaking” was conducted by Ms Raveena Mascarenhas. Ms Krupa from III BCom ACCA welcomed the gathering where Sr Christina presented a sapling to Ms Raveena Mascarenhas. This session highlighted how one can speak confidently in the public, she underscored the importance of the vocal and verbal needs in presenting a speech and also suggested how preparation, practice and performance can improvise our speech. Ms Archana from III BCom CMA had delivered the vote of thanks where Mrs Mokshitha had presented a token of gratitude to Ms Raveena.

The fourth session titled “Building Bridges Through Communication” was conducted by Mr Samarth Shenoy B. Ms Fencita from III BCom CMA welcomed the gathering where Mrs Pooja presented a sapling to Mr Samarth. This session highlighted the tips for communication especially when it came to talking in a formal gathering and also emphasised on how individuals can misunderstand others through the modes of communication. Ms Sanika from III BCom CMA had delivered the vote of thanks where Ms Anusha had presented a token of gratitude to Mr Samarth Shenoy B.

The workshop commenced with an inauguration ceremony. Ms. Alice and her group led the prayer, followed by a welcome address from Ms. Deepti, the emcee for the day. Mrs Nimitha.K staff Co-ordinator of PERSONA welcomed the gathering, and Ms Sheryl introduced the sessions. CS Apeksha Prabhu was florally welcomed by Mrs Vineetha N.T and felicitated by Sr Dr M Venissa A.C. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs Pooja Shetty.

The valedictory programme commenced at 3:30 p.m. with Ms. Sheryl Sequeira from III BCom ACCA as the emcee. The dignitaries were Mrs. Vineetha N.T; Head of the Department of Commerce, along with Mrs. Nimitha.K and Mrs. Pooja., Ms. Sheryl welcomed everyone and invited representatives from each college to share their feedback on the sessions.

The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive from all the students which had 108 students from Maps College, Srinivas College, Canara College, University College and Sri Devi College. Subsequently, Mrs. Vineetha .T distributed certificates to all the participants. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Preemal from III BCom ACCA.
