National Cadet Corps of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized an Interactive session on recently implemented Agnipath scheme on 18 June 2022. Agnipath is a new scheme introduced by the Government of India on 14 June 2022, for recruitment of soldiers below the rank of commissioned officers into the three services of the armed forces. The Agnipath Scheme will be the only route for recruitment into the military. Dr R Nagesh, an Ex army and Associate Professor of Hindi, was the Resource speaker for the session. He enlightened the students, cadets of St Agnes and other colleges on Agnipath Scheme and gave detailed information regarding selection, criteria, basic pay and other benefits. Dr Nagesh also stressed some of the pros and cons of the scheme. At the end of the session he clarified the queries of students, cadets and staff.
