Beginning with the Pyarana Car Museum, we explored vintage cars, historic equipment, and paintings. At CFTRI, we learned about food technology, including preservation, processing, and laboratory research. The visits to DFRL (DFBT) showcased innovative defence foods like ration packs and freeze-dried meals for soldiers in extreme conditions. The day ended with sightseeing at St. Philomena’s Cathedral, Mysore’s local markets, and the Brindavan Gardens’ enchanting water show.
The second day, we toured Sula Wines, learning about winemaking, and visited a Channapatna toy factory to witness wooden toy craftsmanship. The trip concluded with a thrilling safari at Bandipur National Park, offering a close encounter with nature.
The industrial visit to Mysore and Channapatna was an experience that combined education, exploration, and enjoyment. The visits to institutions like CFTRI and DFRL offered us practical insights into advanced food technology and defence research, broadening our understanding beyond classroom learning.
