Beneficiaries: 130 Students of I B. Com (Regular, ACCA, CMA,Professional,BA)
On 4 April 2025, the Department of Commerce organized an industrial visit for the First B.Com students. A group of 130 students, accompanied by three faculty members, visited Kalbavi Food Pvt. Ltd., a renowned cashew processing company.

The primary objective of the visit was to offer students practical exposure to the operations of the cashew processing industry. Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by company officials. A comprehensive presentation followed, detailing each stage of the processing cycle — from procurement, steaming, shelling, drying, and peeling to grading and packaging.

Students witnessed the integration of manual labor with modern machinery, enhancing their understanding of efficient processing methods. They also learned about the company’s quality control practices and export procedures.

The visit proved to be highly enriching, effectively bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world business practices. Students engaged actively with company officials, asking insightful questions and gaining deeper industry knowledge. Overall, the experience provided valuable insights into business operations, equipping students with a practical perspective on the cashew processing industry.
