The students of III BCA, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru visited Babbukatte Government Primary School and Government Higher Primary School at Munnur as a part of ATC (Agnes Towards Community) activity on 26 November 2022. 42 students participated in this activity. Students were divided into 2 groups. 22 students visited Babbukatte Government Primary School and 20 students visited Government Higher Primary School, Munnur.
The purpose of the visit was to teach basic computer skills to the school children. Emphasis was given about the importance of computers in the modern world. The school children were very interested in answering the questions and also clarified their doubts. They got an idea about various uses of computers.
A PowerPoint presentation was shown to the children on Computer Fundamentals. They were given an opportunity to work on the laptop. All the students were enthusiastic, attentive and cooperative throughout the activity.
The visit was supervised under the guidance of Mrs Seementhini Fernandes and Ms Megha Shenoy, Department of Computer Applications. They guided the students in the entire process and helped to make this visit a success.
