Hydrocheck Workshop, conducted by the PG Department of Chemistry, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru was held on 24 October 2024 at 9:00 am in the PG Chemistry Inorganic Lab. The primary objective of the workshop was to educate students about the importance of water safety measurements, specifically testing the alkalinity of water samples. This hands-on training aimed to equip students with practical knowledge and skills to analyse water samples and understand the significance of alkalinity in water quality assessment.

The workshop was attended by 26 PG second-year students, who actively participated in the experiment and gained hands-on experience in testing the alkalinity of water samples. Ananya Kamila from I MSc Chemistry, St Agnes College demonstrated the analysis method, which was then repeated by the students in groups. The students analysed different water samples to understand the concept of alkalinity, and their findings were discussed in a collaborative learning environment.

The workshop provided students with a valuable learning experience, enhancing their practical knowledge and skills.
