The Postgraduate Department of Big Data Analytics conducted a ‘Hands-on Workshop on Data Visualization’ on 30 January 2025. The resource person was Ms. Sara Sheik, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. Ms. Sara is an alumna of St Agnes College and is proficient in using Data Visualization tools. The participants were the students of the Big Data Analytics department. Sara commenced the workshop highlighting the importance of data visualization in the field of data analytics. Using example datasets, the participants created various charts and advanced visuals and explored various features available with data visualization tools to understand the importance of visualizing and analyzing data. The participants interacted with the resource person on the importance of creating dashboards as part of data visualization.
