The Department of Zoology, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, in view of World Nature Conservation Day had organized a guest lecture on the topic “The most misunderstood creatures-Human and Snake conflict” on 28 July 2023 at A2 Auditorium. Ms Sharanya Bhat, Snake conservationist was the resource person for the session.

Mrs Ameetha K, Head-Department of Zoology florally welcomed the Resource person.

Ms Sharanya Bhat explained the importance of snake conservation. She explained the differences between venomous and non-venomous snakes, further she also described the myths and facts related to the snakes. She highlighted a few facts which gave meaningful insights to the students.

It was a fun and interactive session. The students took active part in the session. Overall it was a great learning session for all.

Ms Vivid Dsouza presented a memento as a token of gratitude to the resource person.

Around 120 students took part in the session.
