The Department of English, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru conducted a guest lecture for the students of fifth Semester of B.A.(English) based on the topic “The Genre of Life Writing” on 6 October 2023. The lecture was based on the newly introduced NEP syllabus and was one of its kind.
The invited guest speaker was Dr Kishori Nayak Retd, Senior Professor from the Postgraduate Dept of English, Mangalore University. She was a member of the core committee of KSHEC for the framing of the NEP syllabus. This area has been a special area of her interest and she shared her vast and deep understanding of the genre with the audience. The session was followed by a meaningful question and answer session. Mrs Geetanjali Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Department of English was the organizer of this guest lecture.
