A guest lecture was organised by the Department of Psychology, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru on 7 September 2018. The resource person was Mrs. Elsie Tharien the former HOD of the Department of psychology. The topic of the talk was “Impact of Attitude on Social Relationships”. The talk was arranged for I B.A and III B.A Psychology students. Totally Eighty Five students participated in the programme. She gave a clear picture of how attitude has an impact on social relationships, bringing out wonderful examples from everyday life that all could easily recall and instantly connect with. It was indeed a very informative guest lecture which highlighted the importance of attitude in a person’s life. Having a good attitude towards life not only yields good relationships with others but also it reduces stress. Having a positive attitude changes life for the better. The students learnt that there is a great possibility for a better life with the right attitude. The session was lively and very refreshing and in the last few minutes of the session, few students came out with a role-play and they performed it very meaningfully in a creative manner. Overall the session was very beneficial and worthwhile as students were able to go back home with enlightened minds and happy hearts.
