The PG Department of M.Sc. Big Data Analytics organized a guest lecture “Careers in Data Analytics” on October 19th 2024. The guest speaker was Ms Belinda Dsouza, alumna of the department currently employed as Business Analyst at Almasons, Mangaluru. The Head of the Department, faculty members and the first-year students of the department were present. The programme began with a welcome and introduction of Ms Belinda. Ms. Belinda shared her insights on the placement opportunities in Data Analytics and the various roles available in industry for a graduate of the Data Analytics programme. She shared her experience in preparing for placement and the skills required for attending interviews. The programme was conducted as part of “The Alumni Speaks” event and concluded with a discussion on the current software tools used in industry for data analytics.
