On 27 September 2023 the Department of Secretarial Practice, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organized a field visit to Horticulture Department, Mangalore. The Final and Second year BA, Secretarial Practice students, 23 in number along with a faculty visited the place. Mr Praveen, Senior Staff, Horticulture Department explained the process of grafting and how to pot and repot the plants by giving a demo along with an Assistant Faculty. He also explained the different methods of grafting and its merits and demerits. He was very keen to explain the theory of grafting and highlighted its importance during the practical demo.
At the end one of the students was allowed to do the grafting and learn the process of grafting. He also mentioned the schemes that are made available for the public by the government and the conditions to be followed. It was an interactive session.
