Gandhian Principles and Practices

The Department of Secretarial Practice organized a Power Point Presentation Competition on the topic ‘Gandhian Principles and Practices’ on 13th February 2020, for the college students of all streams. Two students made a team and altogether 21 the teams participated in the first round of preparation of power points on the topic. The best Nine of the teams were chosen from these for the second round of presentation.

The various Gandhian principles brought out by the teams were truth, peace, harmony, faith, sarvodaya, non-violence, sathyagraha, vegetarianism, simplicity, brahmacharya and an ideal society. Questions were asked by the judges about the possibility of implementing them in the present day and the students enthusiastically shared their views.

Ms. Makkena Ferrao & Ms. Fatima Walter Joy of III B.Com won the 1st place and the second place was shared between Ms. Saksha & Ms. Savina of II B.Com and Ms. Theertha & Ms. Sanha of II BBA.

Mrs. Deekshitha, Asst. Prof. Department of Journalism, and Ms. Athena Aranha, Asst. Prof. Department of Psychology were the judges for the competition. This was one of the centenary event organized by the department. Students prepared their PPT in the MASCOM Lab and presented the same in Room No. 7, Avila Block.
