As dawn broke on February 1, 2025, the group arrived in Adimali at 6:30 AM. The crisp morning air greeted them, invigorating their spirits after a night of travel. After freshening up and enjoying a hearty breakfast, they set off toward Munnar, their excitement palpable as they traversed winding roads adorned with lush greenery and fragrant tea plantations. Each turn revealed nature’s artistry, heightening their anticipation for what lay ahead.
Munnar unfolded like a storybook as they embarked on their sightseeing adventure. Their first stop was a vibrant rose garden, where blossoms danced in the gentle breeze, captivating everyone with their colours and fragrances. Next came the sprawling tea plantations, where students paused for photographs against a backdrop of rolling hills—an iconic snapshot of Kerala’s tea legacy that would forever be etched in their memories. At Mattupetti Dam, they marvelled at the tranquil waters reflecting the sky, finding solace in this serene escape from their bustling lives.
The thrill continued at Echo Point, where playful echoes bounced back as they shouted into the valley, filling the air with laughter and joy. The journey reached new heights at Top Station, where breath-taking panoramic views left everyone in awe of nature’s grandeur. As night fell, they gathered around a cosy campfire, sharing stories and forging bonds under a canopy of stars before retreating to their accommodations in Adimali for a well-deserved rest.
The following day dawned bright and early on February 2, 2025. After checking out at 7:00 AM, participants set their sights on Kochi. Breakfast was served during transit, fuelling them for another day of exploration filled with excitement and discovery. Their first experience was a thrilling metro journey that showcased Kochi’s modern urban landscape—a stark contrast to the serene beauty of Munnar.
Next was a visit to the magnificent 50 Crores Church, where they marvelled at its architectural splendour and learned about its historical significance within the community. The excursion continued at Kochi Info Park, where insights into technological advancements and business innovations were shared, and highlighting Kerala’s progressive spirit.
The group then ventured into Fort Kochi, where colonial architecture whispered tales of history amidst vibrant street art and bustling markets. A ride on the Water Metro added an adventurous twist to their day, allowing them to appreciate Kochi’s unique waterways from a fresh perspective. They explored Mattancheri next, immersing themselves in local culture before concluding their day with some retail therapy at Lulu Mall—one of India’s largest shopping destinations—where they revelled in the lively atmosphere.
As evening descended on February 2nd, they gathered for dinner one last time before embarking on their return journey to college at 10:00 PM. The bus was filled with animated conversations about their favourite moments—each student carrying stories etched in their hearts and minds. Finally arriving back at college on February 3rd at 8:00 AM, they were greeted by familiar surroundings but forever changed by their experiences.
