The educational tour organized for the students of III BCA of St Agnes College was a memorable journey that combined learning, adventure, and cultural exploration. From the evening of 13 April 2024 to the morning of 16 April 2024 we embarked on a memorable journey to explore the vibrant cities of Munnar and Kochi. Our departure from the Talapady Toll Gate at 5:30 PM on the 13 April marked the beginning of our exciting adventure.

Our first day began with a visit to various waterfalls in Munnar. The cascading streams amidst the picturesque landscapes left us in awe. Munnar is renowned for its tea plantations. We explored the sprawling tea estates, witnessing the meticulous process of tea cultivation and plucking.The thrilling jeep safari through the rugged terrain allowed us to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of Munnar. The mist-covered hills and winding roads added to the excitement. After an eventful day, we arrived at our resort. The evening was filled with relaxation and camaraderie. The resort’s pool provided a refreshing escape. We splashed around, enjoying the cool water, gathered around the campfire, we shared stories and bonded with fellow students. A sumptuous dinner awaited us, followed by a comfortable night’s rest.

Leaving Munnar behind, we returned to Kochi for an insightful day of industrial visit.We started our day with an industrial visit to Infopark, a hub for IT companies. It was fascinating to see the modern workspaces and technological advancements.We enjoyed a hearty lunch, discussing our newfound knowledge.We explored the historic Fort Kochi, marvelling at its colonial architecture, ancient churches, and the iconic Chinese fishing nets. A leisurely walk along Marine Drive allowed us to soak in the views of the backwaters and the bustling cityscape.

In the evening, we boarded a DJ water cruise, dancing to lively tunes as the boat glided through the serene waters. Our final stop was Lulu Mall, one of India’s largest shopping centers. We browsed through a variety of stores, picking up souvenirs and memories.

As the day wound down, we had dinner before embarking on our journey back to Mangalore. We bid farewell to Kochi and boarded our bus back to the Talapady Toll Gate. The winding roads took us through lush plantations and sleepy villages. Reflecting on our educational tour, we realized that travel is a powerful teacher. It exposes us to diverse cultures, history, and geography. It fosters friendships and broadens our perspectives.

The educational tour to Kannur and Kochi was more than a trip; it was a journey of discovery. We returned with memories etched in our hearts, a deeper understanding of Kerala’s heritage, and a renewed passion for exploration. As the bus rolled back to the Talapady Toll Gate, we carried with us the essence of this adventure—a blend of learning and wanderlust.We returned to college with a deeper understanding of our surroundings and a sense of camaraderie among classmates.
