The Post Graduate Department of Commerce, St. Agnes College (Autonomous) organized an experiential learning activity named Sustainable Candle Making on February 19, 2025 (Wednesday).
The event started with a small prayer. The objective of the event was to impart knowledge on sustainability and expose students’ with colours, wax, glitters, and designs. Their creativity was par excellence. They ideated many new ideas of making candle while doing.
The brand name given by the team was Comglow (From our hands to your homes). First year M. Com students learnt the candle making experience under the guidance of Dr Dolan Champa Banerjee, HOD, Department of M.Com.
Creative Venture are evolving today. Hence with academics’ students delved into a new skill that can paved their way towards entrepreneurship. Moreover, the students learnt financial planning, packaging, inventory management and customer engagement. The first-year students were really elated with such an exposure and wants more such kind of experiences in the near future.
