The Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, St Agnes College, (Autonomous), Mangaluru, conducted “Chem-Magic” an extension activity for the Pre-university students on 13 March 2019. “Chem-Magic” is the presentation of various interesting and easy experiments which builds enthusiasm in the students to learn chemistry with excitement and logical thinking.
The aim of conducting “Chem-Magic” was to develop the scientific approach of the students towards various phenomena that occurs around them and to boost the budding chemists.
The activity was held at Parijnan Pre-university College, Thokkottu, Mangaluru. Around 50 students were a part of this fun-filled activity. The programme began at 2:00 p.m. with a very informative PowerPoint presentation on Chemistry in everyday life by Dr. Geetha M Pinto, Head, of the Department of PG Chemistry which was a great inspiration for the enthusiastic students.
