The Department of Commerce organized a seminar on “Career Path Exploration Based on Learning Digital Skills.” The session was led by Dr. Moona Moosa, an Affiliated Member of IDigitalPreneur.
Dr. Moosa began by providing an overview of India’s population, highlighting the rising unemployment rates among graduates and postgraduates, as well as the recent layoffs at companies like Google and Meta. She then emphasized the importance of skill development and what it takes to stand out in today’s competitive job market.
She introduced students to various in-demand skills, including digital skills, content creation, and video editing. Additionally, she explained key concepts such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), machine automation, and the advantages of digital literacy. She also discussed the growing significance of freelancing and its benefits for students, helping them explore independent career opportunities.
Dr. Moosa further introduced IDigitalPreneur, an online skill development platform offering a variety of courses aimed at enhancing students’ capabilities. She provided insights into the different courses available within the IDigitalPreneur package, demonstrating how they can contribute to professional growth and career advancement.
