A career guidance session on opportunities in the field of Economics was held on April 9, 2025, at St. Agnes College (Autonomous) from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. The event aimed to provide students with insights into the diverse career paths available within and beyond the discipline of Economics. The resource person for the session was Dr. Reji John, assistant professor of the Department of Economics from St. Aloysius Deemed to be University. The session commenced with a formal introduction of the chief guest by Ms. Suhana, a student of Second BA. Dr. John then took over the session and delivered an engaging and informative talk. During his address, Dr. Reji John shed light on the various career avenues in Economics, ranging from academia, research, and public policy to roles in the private sector, banking, and international organizations. He also highlighted interdisciplinary opportunities and emphasized the importance of developing analytical and critical thinking skills in order to excel in the field. His session was particularly beneficial in broadening students’ perspectives on future possibilities.
