On 21st March 2025, the Department of Computer Science at St Agnes College (Autonomous) organized a career guidance session titled “Big Data, Bigger Opportunities” for final-year BSc Computer Science students. Ms Relisha D’Souza, Assistant Professor in the Department of Big Data Analytics, St Agnes College (Autonomous) served as the resource person.
Ms Relisha discussed various career opportunities available to computer science graduates after completing their bachelor’s degrees. She covered topics such as the scope of different courses, distinctions between them, options for higher studies, placement prospects, internship opportunities, study tours, seminars, and competitions. She also elaborated on job roles in big data, expected salary packages, and essential subjects for students to focus on.
Additionally, two MSc Big Data Analytics students shared their experiences with the attendees, providing insights into the course and its impact on their career paths.
The session was well-received, offering valuable guidance to students as they prepare to embark on their professional journeys in the field of big data.
