Nature club, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru in association with 51ah DECA/SCT organised Bamboo cultivation in the College campus on 15 October 2022. Administrator Sr Carmel Rita A.C., Vice Principal Sr. Clara A.C., 51ah DECA/SCT Trustees Mr Arun Shenoy and Mrs Sneha Castelino were present.
51ah DECA/SCT trustees had generously donated 25 varieties of Bamboo plants to the College. Mr Arun Shenoy educated the students about the importance of growing Bamboo, and its role in preserving biodiversity.
The planting of the Bamboo saplings was done in the place allotted by the guests and the members of Nature Club. Watering and looking after these plants will be the ongoing project under Nature Club activities.
Ms Renisha Dcosta, Nature Club Secretary compered the programme. The guests were given a token of gratitude by Ms Vivid Dsouza, Nature Club Coordinator. 50 Nature Club members were present.
