The resource person for the session, Mrs. Amitha Nayak from CareNSafe of India NGO, shared her expertise on cervical cancer and the significance of regular screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle changes to prevent the disease. She also addressed various myths and misconceptions surrounding cervical cancer, ensuring that students gained accurate and reliable information. An important highlight of the event was the demonstration of eco-friendly sanitary pad preparation, which provided students with an alternative approach to sustainable menstrual hygiene.
The event commenced with a prayer song by the students of the Women’s Cell, setting a serene and thoughtful atmosphere for the session. The gathering was then welcomed with an address highlighting the importance of raising awareness about cervical cancer.
