On August 12, 2024, St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangalore, inaugurated the Anti-Ragging week commencing from 12th August to 18th August by Anti-Ragging Cell.

Sr. Dr. M. Venissa A.C., the Principal, addressed the students, mentioning that College is our second home and ragging is prohibited in the campus of St Agnes College. She emphasised to think about the students besieged by ragging which hurts the individual sentiments. All juniors and seniors need to be respected and loved to groom to become dignified human beings. All need to be treated with love and harmony, encourage freedom on campus and enhance the fruitful study provided by the college.

The event began with a prayer and inaugurating the week by lighting the lamp by our dignitaries. The presence of esteemed guests, including Sr. Dr. M. Venissa A.C., Principal; Sr. Roopa A.C., Vice-Principal; Sr Dr Vinora A.C., the PG Co-ordinator and Mrs. Shubharekha, Dean, Administration and Anti-Ragging Cell Co-ordinator, the faculty members, PG & UG Student Presidents and the students added significance to the occasion.

A weeklong awareness activity was conducted from 12th August to 18th August by Anti-Ragging Cell and various competitions were organized. A street play was performed by our NSS students on ragging and provided a beautiful message on being united against ragging.
