The Agnesian Toastmasters club conducted an open house for the students of St Agnes College (Autonomous), on 19 January 2024 in the PG Auditorium, St Agnes Centre for PG Studies and Research at 3 pm. The meeting began with the Sergeant at Arms TM Siyola welcoming all of them and also explaining the ground rules of a toastmasters meeting. TM Premanand, the President of the Agnesian Toastmasters club told the audience about Toastmasters and handed over the proceedings of the meeting to the Toastmaster of the day TM Asha, who then took over the meeting with the theme ‘The Magic of Everyday’. There were two prepared speeches delivered by TM Siyola and TM Raveena. The other key role takers were TM Manjushree as the Topics Master, TM Meera as the General Evaluator and her TAG team, Timer- TM Spandana and TM Sandhya playing dual roles of the Ah Counter and Grammarian. The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. The students thoroughly enjoyed the meeting and gave positive feedback regarding the same.
