On 18th January 2025, the ATC students of Final year BBA were on a drive to distribute 126 paper bags prepared by them to different medical stores. The students along with their staff in charge Mrs Seemanthini Fernandes, went to 6 different medical stores and distributed a set of 21 paper bags equally. The students were divided into 2 groups where one team went towards Kadri where they distributed paper bags to 4 medical stores and the group went towards Shivbagh where they distributed paper bags to 2 medical stores. The distribution drive began at 11:40 am and ended at 1.00 pm. Everyone had helped in preparing the paper bags and also in distribution. Distributing paper bags at medical stores is a crucial step towards promoting environmental sustainability by reducing the use of plastic, which contributes to pollution and takes longer to decompose. It encourages eco-conscious practices by raising awareness about the benefits of biodegradable alternatives. Medical stores that adopt paper bags enhance their reputation as responsible businesses, and the initiative fosters a sense of community involvement among students and local businesses. Additionally, paper bags are safer for carrying medical supplies, reducing the risk of harmful chemicals. For the students, the drive provided valuable experience in social responsibility, environmental advocacy, and teamwork, reinforcing the importance of sustainable practices. The students were very interested and took active part in this drive.
