From 25 March 2024 to 3 April 2024, St. Agnes College’s UG and PG, Department of Commerce organised an annual summer camp in St Agnes Special School, Bendore. The students of the college under the guidance of Sr. Christina, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, undertook this social service for the children of special needs along with the faculty of St. Agnes Special School.

The camp, which began from morning to the afternoon, involved a multitude of activities such as dancing, drawing, colouring and craft making. These activities were taught to them in batches of Junior, Intermediate and Senior from 10 am to 12:30 pm. Each of these activities were conducted in different rooms and included teaching action songs, craft such as bracelets, etc. It also included tea breaks, lunch for the participants.

On the last day of the activity, a Valedictory program was conducted by the teachers and the students for them after a snack break, provided by the college. It involved a simple prayer, and a welcome speech by the Principal of the school and the participants came forward to give their gratitude to the staff including mentioning the most memorable time in the camp. It was followed by prize distribution for events held during the camp.

Following this, they distributed all the crafts made during this period along with gifts such as a bag and a bottle, which the students were happy to receive. The students of the college then took a group photo and were gifted pens from the school for their help. The school later gave ice cream to all the participants and the students.
